ETRONIKA released mobile banking application for Medicinos bankas

ETRONIKA, one of the FinovateEurope 2013 Best of Show winners, released a new version of mobile banking application for Lithuanian bank ‘Medicinos bankas’. Based on BANKTRON®, application was enriched with great new features, including possibility to pay bill for services just by taking a photo of a bill.

Now customers of the bank are able to pay paper bills in a efficient way – by taking a photo of the bill with their smartphone or tablet. ETRONIKA’s application extracts essential information from bill barcode, populates relevant fields (necessary to complete a payment), and finally the payment is processed by touching the ‘Ok’ button. Such payment could be done anywhere and anytime. For example, bank customer could use his smartphone to point, shoot and pay bills for services or membership fees during coffee break or watching TV.

In addition ETRONIKA’s mobile application includes augmented reality, utility payments, ability to view accounts balances and statements, make payment between accounts, find closest bank’s branch or ATM, view currency exchange rates, etc.
