Etronika participated in lithuanian competitiveness forum 2011

Government of the Republic of Lithuania held the first Lithuanian Competitiveness Forum in which country’s government leaders, business organizations and societies shared their visions how to strengthen Lithuania’s competitiveness in the global economy.

ETRONIKA’s CEO Kęstutis Gardžiulis took stage during the event and talked about natural user interface implementation in future technologies, and how people will interact with machines; how software and banking applications will become personal finances advisor and why business organizations from small countries like Lithuania have to stick together in global competitiveness.

In The Global Competitiveness Index 2011–2012 ranking Lithuania took 44th place, three steps up compared to previous year. According to the World Economic Forum’s experts, most problematic areas in Lithuania remain bureaucracy, tax regulations and rates, corruption, limited access to financing. Despite that, high position in higher education and training (26) and technological readiness (34) in Lithuania are very encouraging. Lithuania has been ranked 50th in the world in terms of its innovation level.
