Bankas nord/lb lietuva ab successfully upgrades e-banking system

We have launched new version of the BANKTRON® software at Bankas NORD/LB Lietuva AB. 

Bankas NORD/LB Lietuva AB, the country’s largest bank of German capital, has successfully upgraded its electronic banking system and introduced more advanced and user-friendly internet service to its customers.

From now on, the users of INTERNETO LINIJA will enjoy not only a faster and more efficient electronic banking that offers a bigger range of payment and settlement solutions and wider scope of information on products and services available but also a possibility to create, save and print properly looking documents in a new format. The functionality of the electronic banking system is ensured by the new BANKTRON® version.

“About 70 percent of Bankas NORD/LB Lietuva AB payment orders are made through its electronic banking system. Therefore, after a careful analysis of customer demands, the Bank introduced safe and efficient solutions to meet increasingly sophisticated needs of its individual and corporate customers”, said Mr. Werner Schilli, Board Member of Bankas NORD/LB Lietuva AB.

Bankas NORD/LB Lietuva AB Internet Banking System INTERNETO LINIJA provides its clients with a secure tool to manage their accounts from any computer linked to the Internet to receive information on the account balances and their history, to make local and international payment orders, exchange currency and deliver income and property declarations. Customers who have no Internet access are welcome to use any of 27 Info-terminals of Bankas NORD/LB Lietuva AB.

Payment orders executed by INTERNETO LINIJA cost less than those made at the bank. Payments orders for services of telecommunication, cable television and housing are free from commission fee.

The number of “NORD/LB Lietuva” Internet banking users almost tripled last year to 65.8 thousand. The Bank believes the number of its Internet users will grow by 76 percent to 115 thousand in full year 2005.

Bankas NORD/LB Lietuva had 86 thousand users of its Internet Banking Service INTERNETO LINIJA at the end of the first quarter of 2005.
